| Project 1: The
Flint Creek Wetlands Mitigation Bank |
Robinsong used its in-depth knowledge
of wetlands restoration, stream channel and wetland
design, and knowledge of environmental permitting
and mitigation requirements to open Alabama's first
commercial wetland mitigation bank. The bank sold
out its credits in 2006. |

| Project 2:
Stream restoration at a north Alabama airport |
The Madison County Executive Airport
Authority faced a problem when an FAA-mandated Runway
Safety Area was encumbered by remnants of a gravel
mine. The mine’s gravel pits, at the north
end of the new runway, could not be filled because
the Brier Fork of the Flint River had been diverted
to run through the mining area.
The airport authority and its civil engineering
firm called upon Robinsong’s knowledge of
Rosgen’s Natural Channel Design Techniques
to perform what would be Alabama's first such project. |
